How we work

Controlled, from intake to delivery.

  1. 01

    Inspection per wheel

Every wheel is checked for kerb damage, scratches, corrosion and structural damage. Cracks or buckling are assessed for safety first.

  2. 02

    Removal and stripping

The tyres come off the wheels. For refinishing, the old paint is removed completely down to a clean, sound substrate.

  3. 03

    Restoring the profile

Damaged aluminium is filled and shaped back to the original contour. The rim stays crisp and symmetrical with the other wheels.

  4. 04

    Primer, colour and clear coat

Built up in several layers and cured under controlled conditions. Colour and gloss level are matched to the original or the chosen shade.

  5. 05

    Refitting and final inspection

Tyres fitted, balanced and checked under controlled lighting. Handover with warranty documentation and care advice.

Repair or refinishing

When to repair and when to repaint completely

Alloy Wheel Repair is the choice for one or two damaged areas on a wheel that is otherwise in good condition. The damage is repaired locally and the colour is blended in for an invisible transition. Wheel Refinishing / Repaint is the choice for multiple areas of damage, corrosion beneath the paint, a dull clear coat or a desired colour change. The wheel then receives a completely new paint build-up. On performance cars we often recommend refinishing the set of four, so that colour and gloss level are exactly the same at every corner. Owners who want to protect the wheels afterwards combine this with wheel and brake caliper coating.

Finishes

Three finishes for the wheel

01

Original colour (OEM)

Factory silver, titanium or anthracite matched exactly to the original colour code. The wheel looks as it did at delivery, with no visible repair.

02

Satin or gloss black

The most requested upgrade on Porsche, BMW M and Audi RS. Black wheels create a black optics look that ties in with chrome delete and dark brake calipers.

03

Contrast colour or two-tone

A different colour for the spokes or a coloured rim. We advise with restraint: the result must look as though it could have left the factory.

The GT Exclusive Standard

No visible repair. No awkward questions at resale.

A repaired wheel must not be recognisable as repaired. That is why we work wheel by wheel, with the tyre fully removed, a precise profile build-up and a multi-layer paint build-up. Inspection takes place under controlled lighting, alongside the undamaged wheels.

What is alloy wheel repair

Alloy wheel repair is the repair of cosmetic damage to an alloy wheel without replacing the wheel. Kerb damage, scratches from a car park, flaking clear coat or corrosion along the rim: these are the most common causes. With Alloy Wheel Repair we repair the damaged area and blend in the colour for an invisible transition.

Wheel Refinishing / Repaint is the complete version. The wheel is stripped down to bare aluminium, repaired and rebuilt with primer, colour and clear coat. That is the route for multiple areas of damage, dull paint or a desired colour change.

How does wheel refinishing work

The process is set out above in five steps. The essence is that every wheel is treated off the car, without its tyre. Only then can the rim be repaired all the way round and the paint carried right into the tyre bed. After curing, the tyres are fitted and balanced. The final inspection takes place under controlled lighting, alongside the other wheels in the set.

Who is it for

This service is intended for owners who will not accept a damaged wheel, but do not want to buy a new set at € 3,000 or more either. A Porsche 911 with a single kerb scuff, a BMW M4 with four dull wheels or an Audi RS6 going to satin black. Ferrari and Aston Martin owners preparing a car for sale also have the wheels repaired first.

For a complete picture, combine wheels with brake caliper refinishing. Refinished wheels with discoloured brake calipers behind them is only half a result. For removing chrome from window trim and grille, chrome delete follows on directly.

What does alloy wheel repair cost

Alloy Wheel Repair starts at € 199 per wheel incl. VAT. Wheel Refinishing / Repaint starts at € 249 per wheel. These are indicative consumer prices. The final price depends on wheel size, condition, material choice and the desired finish. Diamond-cut finishes and two-tone colours are quoted separately. All starting prices for wheels and styling are listed in the price overview.

Warranty

The warranty is split into two parts. Alloy Wheel Repair carries a 12-month repair warranty on the repair carried out. Wheel Refinishing / Repaint carries a 2-year paint warranty on adhesion and paint build-up. New kerb damage, aggressive acid-based wheel cleaners and incorrect fitting are not covered. The conditions per service are on the page about warranty on wheels and paintwork.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Final prices and warranty terms follow after inspection of the car.

What does alloy wheel repair cost?

Alloy Wheel Repair starts at € 199 per wheel incl. VAT for repairing kerb damage or scratches. A complete Wheel Refinishing / Repaint starts at € 249 per wheel. The final price depends on wheel size, the extent of the damage and the chosen finish.

Can kerb damage always be repaired?

Cosmetic kerb damage to the rim or the spokes can be repaired in almost all cases. Cracks, buckling or damage to the tyre bed are assessed for safety first. In the case of structural damage we recommend replacement, because a cosmetic repair is not a responsible solution.

How long does wheel refinishing take?

A set of four wheels is usually ready within 2 to 3 working days. The time goes into stripping, restoring the profile and curing the paint layers. A single wheel repair can be quicker, depending on scheduling and the damage.

Can diamond-cut wheels be repaired too?

Diamond-cut wheels have a machined aluminium surface with a clear coat. Localised repair in that look is possible to a limited extent. We assess per wheel whether repair in the diamond-cut finish is feasible or whether a complete refinish in a solid colour gives the best result.

Can the colour of the wheels be changed?

Yes. With Wheel Refinishing / Repaint the wheel is stripped completely, which makes any colour possible. Satin black and gloss black are the most requested on performance cars. We recommend a colour that suits the brake calipers, chrome trim and the paintwork of the car.

What warranty applies to alloy wheel repair?

Alloy Wheel Repair carries a 12-month repair warranty on the repair carried out. Wheel Refinishing / Repaint carries a 2-year paint warranty on adhesion and paint build-up. Damage from new kerb contact, aggressive wheel cleaners or incorrect fitting is not covered by the warranty.
