How we work

Controlled, from intake to delivery.

  1. 01

    Intake and parts list

We identify which chrome parts and accents are to be finished and in which gloss level. Satin, gloss or matt is matched to wheels and brake calipers.

  2. 02

    Removing the trim

Where possible, trim, badges and mirror caps are removed. This allows the film edges to wrap all the way round and keeps the finish invisible.

  3. 03

    Cleaning and degreasing

Chrome and paint are cleaned, degreased and brought to temperature. A clean substrate determines the adhesion and lifespan of the film.

  4. 04

    Wrapping and post-finishing

The cast film is applied tension-free, folded over and sealed at the edges. Seams are avoided or placed out of sight.

  5. 05

    Refitting and final inspection

Trim refitted, edges and corners checked under controlled lighting. Handover with care advice and warranty documentation.

Film versus paint

Why wrap rather than paint

Having chrome painted is permanent and requires sanding the original surface. A chrome delete with cast film does not. The film bonds to the chrome, follows the shape of trim and badges and can be professionally removed at a later date. The original remains intact, which is a tangible advantage when selling or trading in a Porsche or BMW M. Cast film is also dimensionally stable through temperature changes and does not shrink back in corners. Owners who want to perfect the paintwork first schedule paint correction beforehand: film on flawless paint gives the sharpest end result.

Applications

What we finish

01

Window trim and trim strips

The chrome surround of the side windows is the most visible chrome on the car. In satin black it changes the entire profile of the flank.

02

Grille and badges

Grille surround, brand logos and model designations in gloss or satin black. Badges are wrapped off the car, so no film edge remains visible after refitting.

03

Mirror caps and roof

Roof / Accent Wrapping in gloss black creates the effect of a panoramic or contrasting roof. Mirror caps follow the same gloss level for a coherent look.

04

Spoiler, diffuser and exhaust trim

Rear accents are finished in the same film as the rest. Exhaust trim is assessed for temperature first before film is considered an option there.

The GT Exclusive Standard

As if it were a factory option.

A chrome delete succeeds when nobody can tell it is film. That is why we remove trim wherever possible, work exclusively with cast film and fold the edges all the way round. Inspection takes place under controlled lighting, on every trim piece and every badge.

What is chrome delete

Chrome delete is the finishing of chrome trim with cast film in satin, gloss or matt black. Window trim, grille surround, mirror caps, badges and trim strips receive the dark look that manufacturers offer as a black optics package. The chrome is preserved beneath the film.

Roof / Accent Wrapping is the broader application of the same technique. A roof in gloss black, mirror caps in satin, a spoiler or bonnet as an accent. Not a full wrap, but targeted surfaces that sharpen the silhouette of the car.

How does automotive wrapping work

The process is set out above in five steps. Removal and folding the edges are crucial. Window trim wrapped on the car always retains a visible film edge. A removed trim piece is folded all the way round and cannot be distinguished from painted. We work exclusively with cast film, because it stays dimensionally stable in heat and cold and does not shrink back in corners.

Who is it for

This service is intended for owners of Porsche, BMW M, Audi RS and Mercedes-AMG who want a sharper car without a permanent intervention. A Porsche Macan with chrome window trim that does not suit black wheels. A BMW M340i without the Shadow Line package. An Audi RS4 whose roof deserves a contrasting colour. Lease drivers also choose chrome delete, because the film can be removed at the end of the contract.

The strongest combination is chrome delete with wheels in satin black and dark brake calipers. For a closed look, window tinting of the rear windows follows on directly.

What does chrome delete cost

Chrome Delete / Black Optics starts at € 499 incl. VAT. Roof / Accent Wrapping starts at € 399. These are indicative consumer prices. The final price depends on the vehicle, the number of parts, the complexity of the shapes and the chosen film. We prepare a parts list with the corresponding price in advance. All starting prices for styling and wrapping are listed in the price overview.

Warranty

The warranty consists of two parts. On chrome delete, GT Exclusive provides a 2-year installation warranty on adhesion, edges and seams. The material warranty on the film depends on material brand, substrate, use and maintenance and is specified per product line in the quotation and warranty conditions. Roof / Accent Wrapping is product dependent: horizontal surfaces demand more of the film than vertical trim. The explanation per service group is on the page about warranty on wraps and films.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Final prices and warranty terms follow after inspection of the car.

What does chrome delete cost?

Chrome Delete / Black Optics starts at € 499 incl. VAT for the window trim and standard trim parts. Roof / Accent Wrapping starts at € 399. The final price depends on the number of parts, the complexity of the shapes and the chosen film. We prepare a priced parts list in advance.

Is chrome delete reversible?

Yes. The cast film is applied over the original chrome and can be professionally removed at a later date. The chrome is preserved. That makes chrome delete a safe upgrade for lease cars and for owners who want to sell the car in original condition in due course.

How long does a wrap or chrome delete last?

Premium cast film has an expected lifespan of several years, depending on brand and application. Horizontal surfaces such as the roof wear faster through UV and precipitation than vertical trim. The material warranty per product line is set out in the quotation.

Can the car go through a car wash after a wrap?

Hand washing or a touchless car wash is our advice. Brush car washes and high pressure directly on film edges shorten the lifespan and can lift edges. At handover we provide care advice that matches the film used and the warranty conditions.

What is the difference between chrome delete and black optics?

It is the same intervention under a different name. Black optics is the term manufacturers use for the optional package with dark trim. Chrome delete is the aftermarket version of it using film. The result is visually identical, but the film is reversible.

What warranty applies to chrome delete and wraps?

On chrome delete, GT Exclusive provides a 2-year installation warranty on adhesion, edges and seams. The material warranty on the film depends on material brand, substrate, use and maintenance and is specified per product line in the quotation and warranty conditions. Roof / Accent Wrapping is product dependent.
