Paint correction is the machine polishing of paintwork to remove swirls, wash marks, holograms and light oxidation without respraying. GT Exclusive in Nunspeet offers three levels. The 1-Step Paint Correction from € 499 removes around 60 to 70 percent of visible swirls in a single polishing pass. The 2-Step Paint Correction from € 799 combines a compounding stage and a finishing stage and removes most of the deeper scratches. The Multi-Step / Concours Paint Correction from € 1,199 corrects panel by panel to show standard, with an individual final inspection. All prices are incl. VAT and indicative. Turnaround varies from one working day for a 1-Step to three to five working days for a concours correction. Beforehand, the paint depth is measured per panel, so that we only remove what the paint safely allows. Every correction is assessed under controlled lighting and delivered hologram-free. Paint correction is intended for owners who want to preserve the original paintwork and is the essential preparation for a coating or PPF.

How we work
Controlled, from intake to delivery.

Paint inspection and measurement
Under controlled lighting we map swirls, scratches and holograms. The paint depth is measured per panel in microns.
- 02
Decontamination
Hand wash, iron remover and clay treatment take all contamination off the paint. Without this step a polishing pad would cause new scratches.
- 03
Masking and test spot
Edges, rubbers and plastics are masked off. On a test spot we determine the pad and polish combination that best suits this paint.
- 04
Correction in stages
Depending on the package, one, two or several polishing stages follow. Each stage is degreased in between and checked under lighting.

Final inspection and delivery
All panels are assessed again for holograms and remaining defects. Only after approval does delivery follow, with advice on coating or PPF.
Three levels
Which correction suits this paintwork
Not every paint finish needs the same correction. A young Porsche with light wash marks is often done with a 1-Step. A dark Audi RS that has been through the automatic car wash for three years needs a 2-Step with compound and finish. A collector car for a concours or photo shoot receives a Multi-Step, panel by panel. The advice always follows from the inspection and the paint depth measurement, never from a price list. That way we only remove what the paint safely allows and the original paint layer is preserved. Anyone undecided between two levels is shown a test spot before choosing.

The GT Exclusive Standard
Corrected under controlled lighting, delivered hologram-free
Holograms are caused by the wrong pad and polish combinations, excessive speed or insufficient control. They are invisible in the shade and distracting in the sun. That is why we assess every panel under controlled lighting before delivery. Without that approval, no car leaves the workshop.
What is paint correction?
Paint correction is a machine polishing treatment that removes swirls, wash marks, holograms and light oxidation from the clear coat. The correction removes a minimal amount of the clear coat, measured in microns, until the defects have disappeared. Respraying is therefore unnecessary and the original paintwork is preserved. In Dutch this is known as lakcorrectie; in English it is also called professional machine polishing.
How does paint correction work at GT Exclusive?
Every correction starts with an inspection under controlled lighting and a paint depth measurement per panel. Decontamination, masking and a test spot follow. The polishing stages themselves are described above in the process.
The difference between the three levels lies in the number of stages and the aggressiveness of compound and pad. A 1-Step works with a single combination. A 2-Step separates correcting and finishing. A Concours correction repeats this per panel until the desired level is reached. Each stage is degreased in between and checked under lighting.
Who is paint correction for?
For owners who want to preserve and improve the original paintwork. A Porsche 911 with wash marks from the automatic car wash. A black BMW M or Audi RS on which every swirl shows. A Ferrari or Aston Martin that needs to be ready for sale or concours.
And for anyone considering a coating or PPF: that protection preserves the paint exactly as it is. Paint correction is therefore the essential preparation for a ceramic coating or Paint Protection Film. A chrome delete or glass protection is also often carried out in the same project.

A 1-Step Paint Correction costs from € 499 incl. VAT. A 2-Step Paint Correction from € 799 and a Multi-Step / Concours Paint Correction from € 1,199. These are indicative consumer prices incl. VAT. The final price depends on the vehicle, its condition, material choice and the desired finish.
A larger car or paintwork with deep defects requires more hours. Anyone combining the correction with a coating will find the combined package under Ceramic Protection + Paint Correction. Warranty on paint correction
We do not offer an artificial long-term warranty on polishing. New swirls or wash marks are caused by use or an incorrect washing method, not by the correction itself. What we do guarantee is the quality at delivery.
Every 1-Step and 2-Step is delivered hologram-free. The Concours correction receives an individual final inspection, panel by panel. This commitment is set out in The GT Exclusive Standard, alongside the warranty terms per group. Preserving the result for longer is achieved with the correct washing method and a coating or PPF.

What does paint correction cost for a Porsche?

How long does paint correction last?
The correction itself is permanent: removed scratches do not come back. New swirls only arise through use and washing method. With a safe hand wash the result stays good for years. A ceramic coating or PPF additionally protects the corrected paintwork against new scratches and contamination.
Is paint correction necessary before a ceramic coating or PPF?
Yes. Coating and PPF preserve the paintwork in the state it is in at that moment. Swirls trapped beneath the coating remain visible for years. That is why we carry out at least a 1-Step before every coating, even on a new car. The same applies to PPF for the panels being covered.
Can every paint finish be polished?
Almost every paint finish with a clear coat can be corrected. The paint depth measurement per panel determines the safe margin. Panels that have previously been resprayed or polished receive an adapted approach. Where the paint depth is insufficient, we recommend a lighter correction or an alternative such as spot repair.
How long does a paint correction take?
A 1-Step takes one working day. A 2-Step two working days. A Multi-Step / Concours Paint Correction three to five working days, depending on size and paint condition. The car is dropped off by appointment and collected after the final inspection under controlled lighting.
