Controlled, from intake to delivery.

Paint inspection and measurement
We assess the paintwork under controlled lighting and measure the paint depth. This tells us how much correction the paint can safely take.
- 02
Decontamination
Hand wash, iron remover and clay bar lift iron fallout, tar and industrial contamination from the paint. A coating only bonds to a clean surface.
- 03
Paint correction
With Ceramic Protection + Paint Correction, a 1-step machine correction follows that removes around 60 to 70 percent of swirls. The paint is then fully degreased.
- 04
Application layer by layer
The coating goes onto the paint panel by panel in thin passes and is levelled after flashing off. Premium Ceramic Protection receives multiple layers.
- 05
Curing and final inspection
The car stays indoors overnight to cure. The final inspection follows, and the owner receives maintenance instructions and warranty registration.

Wax disappears after a few washes, a ceramic coating bonds chemically with the paint and stays for years. Water beads off the car, dirt gets no grip and limescale does not settle. What is a ceramic coating
A ceramic coating is a liquid protective product based on silicon dioxide that bonds chemically with the paint and cures into a glass-like layer. That layer is 1 to 2 microns thick, hard (9H on the pencil scale) and extremely smooth. Water rolls off, dirt barely adheres and less UV reaches the paint. The coating replaces wax and sealant for years rather than weeks.
The term glass coating is often used for the same product. The difference from a sealant is the chemical bond: a coating does not sit on the paint, it becomes part of it.
How Ceramic Protection works at GT Exclusive
The process above describes the five steps, from paint measurement to curing. The most important is the preparation. A coating locks in every swirl and every wash mark for years. Warranty on ceramic coating
The warranty is split. The product warranty comes from the manufacturer of the coating system: up to 5 years on Ceramic Protection and Ceramic Protection + Paint Correction, up to 8 to 9 years on Premium Ceramic Protection*. The term applies according to system, correct registration, maintenance conditions and any periodic inspections.
The application warranty comes from GT Exclusive: hologram-free delivery under controlled lighting and rectification of high spots or streaks attributable to the application. How the two warranties relate is explained on the page about warranty of up to 9 years on coating.

What does a ceramic coating cost for a BMW M?
Ceramic Protection for a BMW M3 or M4 starts from € 799 incl. VAT. Including 1-step paint correction the package costs from € 1,099, Premium Ceramic Protection from € 1,499. The final price depends on size, paint condition and the chosen system and is set out in the quotation beforehand.
How long does a ceramic coating last?
Ceramic Protection and Ceramic Protection + Paint Correction last up to 5 years, Premium Ceramic Protection up to 8 to 9 years. Those terms apply according to system, registration and maintenance. Regular hand washing with pH-neutral shampoo and an annual inspection keep the coating at full strength.
Does a ceramic coating protect against stone chips?
No. A coating is 1 to 2 microns thick and protects against dirt, UV, limescale and light wash marks, not against impact. Stone chips call for Paint Protection Film of around 200 microns. The most complete protection is PPF on the front end and coating over the remaining panels.
Does the car need to be polished before a coating?
Yes, in almost all cases. A coating locks in the paint exactly as it is, including swirls and wash marks. That is why Ceramic Protection + Paint Correction from € 1,099 is the most popular package. Only a new car with flawless paint can make do with decontamination and light preparation.
How is a coated car washed?
Hand wash with two buckets and pH-neutral shampoo, dried with a soft microfibre towel. No brush car wash and no wax or polish over the coating. Do not wash during the first 7 days after application. With this routine the coating keeps working for the full warranty term.
