01 / Detailing & Paint Correction

In short

The Premium Exterior Detail is the exterior detailing service of GT Exclusive in Nunspeet: a controlled hand wash and decontamination that returns the paintwork, wheels, glass and plastics of a premium car to a pure state. The treatment costs from € 249 incl. VAT and takes one working day. We wash using the two-bucket method and pH-neutral shampoo, remove iron particles and tar chemically and clay the paintwork smooth. A sealant then follows, repelling water and protecting the gloss for several months, depending on use and washing method. Wheels are cleaned inside and out, glass is polished streak-free and plastics and rubbers are conditioned. Every car leaves the workshop after a GT Quality Inspection at delivery. The service suits owners of Porsche, Ferrari and BMW M models, among others, who want to prepare the car for the season, sell it or establish a clean baseline before paint correction or coating. Periodic maintenance of a coated or film-wrapped car also falls under this service.

How we work

Controlled, from intake to delivery.

  1. 01

    Inspection and pre-rinse

The car is assessed for contamination, existing damage and previous treatments. We then rinse off loose dirt with snow foam and water at low pressure.

  2. 02

    Two-bucket hand wash

Washing with pH-neutral shampoo, two buckets with grit guards and a clean wash mitt per section. Wheels get their own brushes and their own buckets.

  3. 03

    Decontamination in three stages

Iron remover dissolves brake dust, tar remover lifts asphalt residue and clay takes the last roughness off the paint. The paintwork then feels as smooth as glass.

  4. 04

    Wheels, glass and plastics

Wheels inside and out, tyres, windows and all plastics and rubbers are cleaned separately and conditioned with material-specific products.

  5. 05

    Sealant and GT Quality Inspection

A sealant protects gloss and water repellency. This is followed by a check under lighting and a brief explanation at delivery.

Why no automatic car wash

The hand wash that leaves no scratches

Automatic car washes and brushes are the biggest cause of swirls on dark paintwork. Dirt trapped in the brushes acts like sandpaper on the clear coat. That is why we wash exclusively by hand, with two buckets, grit guards and pH-neutral shampoo. Every wash mitt is rinsed before it touches the paint again. Wheels get their own brushes and their own buckets. Drying is done with drying towels and filtered air, never with a chamois. That way corrected or coated paintwork stays as it was intended. Anyone who already has swirls in the paint should look at paint correction.

The GT Exclusive Standard

Clean is the beginning, not the end point

A Premium Exterior Detail provides a clean baseline. Under controlled lighting we then see exactly what the paintwork needs: nothing, a 1-Step or more. Every owner receives that assessment at delivery, without obligation. Perfection before protection begins here.

What is a Premium Exterior Detail?

A Premium Exterior Detail is a professional exterior detailing service that fully cleans, decontaminates and seals the outside of a car without polishing the paintwork. The difference from an ordinary wash lies in the method: everything by hand, in a fixed sequence, with products per material. The difference from paint correction lies in the goal: cleaning and protecting, not correcting.

How does exterior detailing work at GT Exclusive?

The treatment follows the five steps set out above: inspection, hand wash, decontamination, wheels and glass, sealant. Each step has its own buckets, brushes and cloths. That way dirt from the wheels never touches the paint.

The sealant we apply provides water repellency and gloss for several months, depending on use and washing method. On a car with a ceramic coating we adapt the products so that the coating stays active.

Who is it for?

The Premium Exterior Detail is intended for owners who will not let an automatic car wash near their car. A Ferrari going back on the road after winter storage. A Porsche GT3 after a track day, with brake dust on the wheels and rubber on the flanks. A Bentley being prepared for sale.

This detail is also the right choice as periodic maintenance after a ceramic coating or PPF. That way the protection keeps doing what it was intended to do. Owners who have the exterior cared for often combine it with interior detailing.

What does a Premium Exterior Detail cost?

The Premium Exterior Detail costs from € 249 incl. VAT. This is an indicative consumer price. The final price depends on the vehicle, its condition, material choice and the desired finish. A heavily soiled car or a car with matt paintwork requires more time and different products.

The full overview of all starting prices is on the pricing page. Owners who notice swirls after the wash receive honest advice at delivery on the next step: a 1-Step Paint Correction from € 499.

Warranty

An exterior detail is covered by the GT Quality Inspection at delivery. Every panel, every wheel and every window is checked under lighting before the car is handed over.

A long-term warranty on a wash is not realistic. The first drive brings new dust, and the next wash determines whether the paint stays scratch-free. That is why we provide specific washing instructions at delivery. How we define warranty per service is set out in The GT Exclusive Standard, with the terms per product group.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Final prices and warranty terms follow after inspection of the car.

What does exterior detailing cost at GT Exclusive?

The Premium Exterior Detail costs from € 249 incl. VAT. The price is indicative and depends on size, condition and paint finish. A heavily soiled SUV or a car with matt paintwork may cost more. The final price is confirmed before work begins.

How long does a Premium Exterior Detail take?

Allow one working day. The car is dropped off in the morning and collected at the end of the day, after the GT Quality Inspection. When combined with interior detailing, we schedule two working days. Owners can wait in the lounge, or leave the car with us by appointment.

What is the difference between exterior detailing and polishing?

Exterior detailing cleans, decontaminates and seals the paintwork without removing any material. Polishing or paint correction removes defects by polishing away a thin layer of the clear coat. Detailing cleans, correction restores. Swirls therefore do not disappear with an exterior detail, but they do with a 1-Step from € 499.

How often is an exterior detail needed?

For a car that is driven regularly, we recommend two to four times a year, aligned with the seasons. After winter and before storage are the logical moments. Cars with a ceramic coating stay clean for longer, but periodically need a decontamination to keep the coating active.

Is the treatment safe for a coated or film-wrapped car?

Yes. We use pH-neutral products that do not affect coating or PPF and match the sealant to the protection already present. On PPF we work without clay on the edges. Periodic maintenance is also a condition of many coating systems for keeping the manufacturer's warranty valid.
